JJ's Quilt for his Grandmother

Another marathon Christmas sewing marathon. This time both,Kat and JJ, got in on the action.  About 36 hrs later and the day after Christmas let the quilting frenzy begin.  The party's on Sunday, looks like they will be sewing on the binding tonight.

Gathering the fabric and cutting - on the way to a Drunkard's Path.  The largest finished block will be 14" with smaller blocks set along the perimeter.

The Ikea table transformed into a quilting table with no drag... Both my machines will easily fit in the space.    Ok, I'm actually excited about doing a large quilt. Thanks JJ!!! 

Total cost including shipping, taxes, and a few 6" screws- about $102.00.  Actually a large savings considering that most of the sewing cabinets with a drop down for the machine start around $1,200.
